Morning Show co-host Kelly Lynch announced last month she'd be leaving WGY 810 AM / 103.1FM and the broadcast industry as a whole — after more than two decades in broadcast media. Her cohost, Doug Goudie, has been on-air solo since Lynch's August departure.
This week, Goudie shared the station's plans for the show, reports The Times-Union.
Rather than replace Lynch, Goudie will host the talk show solo. This isn't his first time without a cohost. The radio vet from Massachusetts worked with both a partner on-air, and alone, at his previous job.
He says his producer Rachel Davis and "newsman" George Morris will be "more involved." Davis also periodically joins Randy McCarten over on his WRVE 99.5 The River morning show. Both stations are owned by iHeartMedia.
