R.I.P.: Former Detroit Radio News Anchor Bob Schuman

The Detroit radio family lost a longtime member on Saturday.

Bob Schuman died at age 65 on Saturday morning at his home in Michigan. Schuman worked primarily as a news director, making stops at WOMC, WYCD, WJR and many other radio stations around the country.

CBS Local reports WWJ Newsradio 950 morning anchor Roberta Jasina spoke live about the out-pouring of social media posts dedicated to Schuman.

“He had a big voice, a big brain and a big heart,” Jasina said. “He was a great writer and a great broadcaster. And a good friend too.”



The cause of death was not immediately known.
