Tulsa Radio: Cox Media Believes In The Spirit

Cox Media Group (CMG) has brought back a well-established radio brand to Tulsa with the launch of Spirit 105.7, "Today's Christian Music" on Tanslator K289CC.

The "Spirit” brand was moved from over-the-air to Cox Cable Channel 1982 in 2009, when CMG’s news/talk station KRMG took over the 102.3 dial position to add an FM broadcast to its heritage AM signal. Since then, local management has received consistent requests to bring back the Contemporary Christian station to an over-the-air signal.

Steve Hunter, CMG’s Director of Operations, said, “We conducted an audience poll and the response to bring Spirit back was amazing. We are thrilled to bring this great radio station back to Tulsa."
