Karen DeFriez Joins Westwood One

Karen DeFriez

Veteran station rep Karen DeFriez will be joining Westwood One as an Affiliate Sales Manager responsible for clearances and on-air maintenance for the company’s Country properties, including the NASH entertainment brand programming platforms--America’s Morning Show, NASH Nights Live, Kickin’ it with Kix, and American Country Countdown. DeFriez is based in Nashville and reports to Donny Walker, Senior Director, Affiliate Sales.

Prior to joining Westwood One, DeFriez spent nearly 17 years as an Affiliate Sales Director for Premiere Networks. While at Premiere she also served as a Project Manager on several longform shows and as an Affiliate Sales Trainer who mentored new hires. For six years before that, DeFriez was an on-air host and Promotions Director for Nashville’s WJXA/WRMX.

She also spent time as a Record Rep for Tandem Promotions in Nashville and as a Midday Host/Music Director for WAYZ-FM in Waynesboro, PA.
