Buffalo Radio: WBEN-AM Returning To FM Simulcast

News/Talk WBEN 930 AM will be returning to the FM dial eight months after giving up its full-power FM.

Entercom ended the simulcast to launch Alternative WLKK 107.7 FM, with a rimshot signal with majority of coverage SE of Buffalo.

Entercom had been simulcasting WBEN on FM from April 2011 until September 2013.

Now, the company has struck a $125,000 deal to buy the Buffalo-licensed translator W284AP at 104.7 FM from Family Life Ministries.

Nielsen says WBEN had a 9.1 share (12+) in the Winter book, flat with a year earlier.
