L-A Radio: KFI Pastathon Reaches New Milestones

The 11th Annual KFI PastaThon is in the books, and it was a record-breaking year raising $933,502 and 115,324 pounds of pasta/sauce! That's $162,675 and 39,344 more than last year.

The live event at Anaheim White House on 'Giving Tuesday' with the Tim Conway Jr Show was an awesome way to kick off the final week of our effort.

Anaheim White House owner and Chef, Bruno Serato began providing meals in 2005 to children living with their families in local low-income motels because there was no way for them to make hot meals.

Over the last 16 years, Chef Bruno has expanded his project to provide more than 25,000 meals per week in 100 locations in 30 cities across Southern California, in addition, they help families get back into stable home environments and provide job training for youth to help end the cycle of poverty. To date, they have provided over 7 million meals!

When KFI first partnered with Chef Bruno in 2010, the effort raised $80,000 and 3,000 pounds of pasta & sauce.

Listeners can still donate to the KFI PastaThon through Sunday night 100% of your donation goes to Caterina's Club and feeds children here in Southern California.

If you'd like to donate to Caterina's Club outside the KFI PastaThon or donate your time to help them with their efforts, visit their website HERE.
