iHeartMedia has promoted Jill Strada, its Executive Vice President of Programming in Atlanta, to Program Director for 103.5 The Beat (WMIB) in Miami.
In this expanded role, Strada will oversee the station's hip-hop and R&B programming while maintaining her leadership of iHeartMedia's Atlanta cluster, aiming to boost the station's dominance in South Florida's competitive urban radio market.
Strada brings deep experience in urban formats to the position, having previously served as Program Director for Power 96 (WPOW) in Miami and Hits 97.3 (WFLC), a CHR station, during her seven-year tenure at Cox Media Group in the market from 2014 to 2021. She also held operations director duties there, including for 99 Jamz (WEDR).
Earlier in her career, Strada programmed Hot 97 (WQHT) in New York, Hot 96.9 (WBQT) in Boston, and Power 95.3 (WPYO) in Orlando, establishing her as a veteran in high-energy, music-driven stations.

Relaunched in 2013 as a hip-hop-focused station after stunting with dance music, it has solidified its position as the market's top-rated for the genre, featuring syndicated staples alongside local talents like Stichiz and DJ Bulletproof.
This appointment comes amid iHeartMedia's push to refresh urban programming amid streaming competition, with Strada's dual-market oversight expected to drive cross-promotions and content synergies.
Strada expressed enthusiasm in a statement: "I'm thrilled to return to Miami in this capacity, blending my passion for urban radio with iHeartMedia's innovative platform. We'll amplify what makes The Beat a cultural force while fostering growth across both markets." iHeartMedia Atlanta Market President Tony Travatto added, "Jill's track record speaks for itself—she's a powerhouse who elevates teams and audiences alike."
