Fox Credits Robust Ad Market For Strong Earnings

Fox Corporation reports a strong financial performance in its fiscal fourth quarter of 2025, with significant contributions from Fox News and its streaming service Tubi.

Fox Corp. recorded total quarterly revenues of $3.29 billion, a 6% increase ($195 million) compared to the prior year's quarter. The growth was driven by robust advertising and affiliate fee revenues.
Net Income Surge: Net income for the quarter reached $719 million ($1.57 per share), more than doubling the $320 million ($0.68 per share) reported in the same quarter of the previous year.
  • Adjusted EBITDA: The company reported an Adjusted EBITDA of $939 million, up 21% year-over-year, reflecting strong operational performance.
  • Advertising Revenue: Ad revenue rose by 7%, totaling $1.1 billion, primarily due to strong performance from Tubi and higher ratings and pricing at Fox News.
  • Affiliate Fees: Affiliate fee revenues increased by 3%, with 4% growth in the Television segment and 2% in the Cable Network Programming segment.
  • Other Revenues: Other revenues grew by 33%, driven by higher content revenues, including sports sublicensing.
Key Drivers
  • Fox News Performance: High ratings and strong advertiser interest in Fox News Channel significantly boosted ad revenues. The network's focus on live programming and news content helped Fox maintain a competitive edge in a challenging media landscape.
  • Tubi's Growth: Tubi, Fox’s free, ad-supported streaming service, saw continued digital growth, with increased viewership and advertiser demand. The platform’s scalability and large content library (over 275,000 movies and TV episodes) have positioned it as a leader in the ad-supported video-on-demand (AVOD) market.
  • Television Segment: The Television segment reported revenues of $1.71 billion, up 6% ($92 million), with ad revenues increasing by 3% ($21 million) due to Tubi’s digital growth, though partially offset by the absence of prior-year soccer broadcasts (UEFA European Championship and CONMEBOL Copa América). Affiliate fees in this segment rose by 4% ($29 million). Quarterly segment EBITDA surged 108% to $308 million, driven by revenue growth and lower expenses.
  • Cable Network Programming: The Cable segment saw revenues of $1.53 billion, with a 15% rise in ad revenue and a 2% increase in affiliate fees, despite a decline in subscribers. Other revenues in this segment grew 39%, largely due to increased Fox Nation subscribers.
