Terry Moran, a former ABC News reporter, admitted that the network exhibited a significant bias against former President Donald Trump. Moran, 65, was fired from ABC earlier this year after labeling Trump adviser Stephen Miller a "world-class hater" on X.

He criticized the network for its lack of "viewpoint diversity," a flaw he believes is common among major cultural institutions in America.
Moran noted that while ABC hired journalists from diverse backgrounds, it failed to include pro-Trump perspectives. "It is no secret," he wrote, that "there are hardly any people who supported Donald Trump at ABC News—or the other corporate/legacy/mainstream news networks."
He argued that the absence of Trump-supporting voices in newsrooms leads to a disconnect with much of the country. Moran likened news coverage of Trump rallies to an "anthropological" and "inaccurate" exercise, comparing it to observing a caged animal in a zoo rather than in its natural environment. "You don’t really see a tiger at the zoo, just a version of a tiger," he said.
