NC Radio: Eric White Returns to iHM With Trifecta PD Duties

Eric "E" White has been appointed Program Director for iHeartMedia’s North Carolina rock stations: Alternative “106.5 The End” WEND Salisbury/Charlotte, Classic Rock “99.7 The Fox” WRFX Kannapolis/Charlotte, and Classic Rock 106.1 WRDU Wake Forest/Raleigh. 

It marks a return to iHeartMedia for White, who previously worked with the company, most recently hosting mornings at CHR 97.1 KZHT Salt Lake City from July 2023 until his exit during layoffs in November 2024.

His career with iHeartMedia began as an intern in Philadelphia, followed by roles as Music/Imaging Director and afternoon host at CHR “107.5 Kiss-FM” KKDM Des Moines starting in November 2017, and three years as a night host at CHR 101.3 KDWB Minneapolis.

White’s new role involves overseeing music, content, and imaging strategies, collaborating with marketing teams for promotions, coaching talent like the syndicated Woody & Wilcox Show, managing social media strategies, and ensuring compliance with partnership agreements for Carolina Panthers and NASCAR broadcasts. 

He expressed excitement about working in genres he loves, stating, “Hyped is an understatement. Getting to work in the genres that I love and made me who I am is wild and I can’t wait to see what the Carolinas got to offer.” White replaces Chris Crowley, who exited in February 2025 after programming these stations since September 2021.
