Audacy announced two regional leadership updates for its alternative format. The company welcomes John Allers as Regional Vice President of Alternative. In this role, Allers will oversee ALT 103.7 (KVIL-FM) in Dallas, 94/7 Alternative Portland (KNRK-FM), ALT 94-7 (KKDO-FM) in Sacramento, ALT 949 (KBZT-FM) in San Diego, and 107.7 The End (KNDD-FM) in Seattle, effective immediately.
Additionally, the company has appointed Christy Taylor as Regional Brand Manager of ALT 96.5 (KRBZ-FM) in Kansas City, X107.5 (KXTE-FM) in Las Vegas, FM 101.9 (WQMP-FM) in Orlando and 107.7 The End (KNDD-FM) in Seattle, effective November 4.

John Allers has been programming industry leading alternative and rock radio brands and websites for over 20 years, including brands originating from San Jose, Atlanta, Providence, Washington D.C., Cincinnati, Manchester,VT, Albany, NY and most recently Philadelphia. Prior to this role, he served as Vice President of Alternative for iHeart in Philadelphia, where he led market-leading brand WRFF from its launch, while also hosting the morning show and creating 100s of large and small events designed especially for alternative radio listeners. Additionally, Allers oversaw the music and content for iHeart’s nationally distributed “Alternative Project,” while also creating many music industry promotional partnerships.

Christy Taylor is a 20-year radio professional, including roles as both a programmer and on-air talent. Prior to joining Audacy, she held various program director roles, including most recently for Go 96.3 (KQGO-FM) in Minneapolis and 91X (XTRA-FM) in San Diego. In addition, she’s been morning show producer and on-air host for The Current (KCMP-FM) in Minneapolis, as well as an on-air music director for Alt AZ 93.3 (KDKB-FM) in Phoenix, and The Edge (formerly WZMR) and Fly 92 (WFLY-FM) in Albany, NY. She also served as an on-air host for then 92.3 K Rock in New York, which today is sister station ALT 92.3 (WNYL-FM) and was an on-air host for Hot 97.5 and 103.9 (KMVA-FM) in Phoenix and WILD 104 in Binghamton, NY.
