NYC Radio: John McConnell Talks Near-Death Experience

Well-know ondustry veteran John McConnell, Executive Vice President of Workhouse Media talent & content management agency checked in Friday morning with The Big Show on WCBS 101.1 FM to share his near-death experience with COVID-19.

In a matter of days, John went to a gathering feeling fine, to sitting in a hospital bed almost on a ventilator with his family told to make arrangements for his potential demise!

John shared with Scott Shannon and Patty Steele about how he thinks he contracted conronavirus, his symptoms and his recovery!



. Until November 2008,McConnell was the senior executive in charge of Programming for the ABC Radio Networks and managed programming for ABC Music Radio, ABC News Radio, ABC Talk Radio and the ESPN Radio Network, all of which was heard on 4400 ABC radio affiliates and web sites. He managed broadcast assets that generated several billion dollars in revenue during his tenure at ABC. He also created or/and managed many very successful programs including, ABC News Radio, American Country Countdown (hosted by Kix Brooks of Brooks and Dunn), America’s Most Wanted with John Walsh, The ESPN Radio Network, The Mike Huckabee Report, Paul Harvey News and Comment, Radio Perez (the infamous gossip blogger Perez Hilton) The Sean Hannity Show and the Michael Baisden Show (America’s #1 Urban afternoon show)
