Monie Love |
Terri Avery, director of branding and programming, says, “We are so excited to have Monie Love join the KISS 104.1 team. Her love of hip-hop, entertaining personality and star power make her a great addition to our afternoons here in Atlanta.”
Since her start in British hip-hop in the late 1980s, Love quickly elevated her position in the industry and brought her talents and musical influence to the United States years later. She is well-known for her status as a protégé to Queen Latifah and association with Native Tongues in the late 1980s, early 1990s.
Love received Grammy nominations for “Monie in the Middle” and “It’s a Shame (My Sister),” and was featured on the remix of Whitney Houston’s R&B hit “My Name Is Not Susan.” She co-hosted the syndicated Ed Lover Morning Show and has been featured in a number of TV shows here in Atlanta, including “Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta”, “Dish Nation” and “Rickey Smiley’s For Real TV”; and is currently on Season 5 of “Little Women of Atlanta.”
“I’m excited to be joining the KISS 104.1 family in afternoon drive. Get ready for a good time!” says Love.
