R.I.P.: Retired NYC, Chicago News Anchor Ralph Howard

Radio newscaster Ralph Howard has died after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis. He received a lung transplant in 2010.

He was 77-years-of-age.

Howard worked for WMCA 570 AM and WINS 1010 AM in New York City. From 1982 to 1985, Tradup was Executive Producer of the Ralph & Ryan morning show on WMCA — then owned by Ellen & Peter Straus of Straus Communications.

From 1985-2002, he anchored and made entertainment reports on Broadway, movies, etc. Howard also worked at WCBS-AM and ABC Radio in Nework, as well as WIND, WBBM & WCFL/Chicago along with The Associated Press in Albany and New York.

More recently, Howard was a news achor for Howard Stern and hosted "Howard's World" covering Stern's world on SiriusXM from 2005 until he retired in May, 2013.
