Shocker: Vance to Appear On 'The View'

Vice President JD Vance will sit down for a live interview with the co-hosts of ABC’s The View on Tuesday, June 16, marking a surprising crossover between the conservative political figure and the long-running daytime talk show.

The announcement came Thursday morning during the program, when moderator Whoopi Goldberg addressed the studio audience at the top of the episode. While discussing President Donald Trump’s recent economic comments, Goldberg stated, “This will be one of many questions that we will be asking our guest on Tuesday.”

She then confirmed: “We’re going to be joined at the table by Vice President JD Vance.” The revelation drew audible gasps from the audience before the show cut to a commercial break.

Promotional spots aired immediately afterward, highlighting that Vance would appear alongside all six co-hosts: Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin.

The booking arrives amid heightened tensions between the Federal Communications Commission and ABC. FCC Chairman Brendan Carr has repeatedly criticized the network and The View in recent months, accusing the program of exhibiting a left-leaning bias. The appearance represents an unusual move for the show, which has historically featured more liberal-leaning guests and viewpoints.

Further details about the interview topics and format are expected in the coming days as Tuesday’s live episode approaches.
