“103.5 The Beat” WMIB is shaking up its daily lineup as longtime afternoon host “Papa Keith” Walcott transitions from afternoons to a new position as National Brand Partnerships Multicultural Specialist for iHeartMedia.Walcott, who has anchored afternoons since 2013, will continue hosting Saturday mornings and his “Common Sense PhD.” podcast.
“I’ve had more than 30 years in radio to connect with the community,” Walcott said. “As I pass the torch to DJ Entice — someone who represents the energy and passion of 103.5 The Beat — I know afternoons are in great hands. While he takes the show to the next level, I’m excited to begin a new chapter with iHeartMedia, expanding my impact and serving Miami on an even bigger stage.”
New Lineup Highlights:
- Afternoons: Evening host DJ Entice moves up to replace Walcott.
- Nights (6-10 p.m.): Late-night host Slim City teams with Billy Blue.
- Late Nights (10 p.m.–2 a.m.): Atlanta’s “96.1 The Beat” afternoon duo Ferrari and BT join for a new Miami shift.
- Overnights: Premiere Networks’ “The Bootleg Kev Show” remains.
- Mornings and Middays: “The Breakfast Club” and host Stichiz stay in place.
The changes include the launch of a new show, “Strictly BS.”Program Director Jill Strada said the refreshed schedule blends legacy with fresh energy. “This is truly a South Florida lineup with homegrown talent that embodies the energy, culture and spirit of our city.”
