Milwaukee Radio: Carol Vonn Moving To Middays At WKTI

Carol Vonn
Carol Vonn, who three weeks ago was penciled into the morning drive-time hosting slot at WKTI 94.5 FM, will move to the country station's midday gig.

When WKTI announced Vonn was joining the station earlier in October, it was positioned as a temporary gig while the station conducted a search for a permanent replacement. The station said Monday that Vonn will move into her midday job once a new morning show is in place., reports jsonline.com.

Vonn was the morning co-host (as CV) on WLDB 93.3 FM until April, when she and co-host Van McNeil were replaced by Joe Krauss. Before that, Vonn shared hosting duties at WLDB with Jane Matenaer, who now co-hosts the morning show at WTMJ 620 AM, and co-hosted a morning show on WRIT 95.7 FM.

Vonn will replace Jillene Khan in the midday post, and will serve as WKTI's community relations director.

Khan had been hosting the 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. slot since November 2016; before that, she had been the station's nighttime host.

In announcing Vonn's new job, WKTI said Khan was "departing the station for an on-air position outside of Milwaukee."
