Phoenix Radio: Tim Richards New VP/Programming For CBS

CBS Radio has appointed Tim Richards VP/Programming for its Phoenix cluster including Country KMLE 107.9 FM, Classic Hits KOOL 94.5 FM and Top40 KZON LIVE 101.5 FM.

Richards will continue to serve as PD of KMLE and KZON.

Dave Shakes will continue to serve as Program Director of KOOL-FM and will work under the direction of Richards.

A radio veteran with 20-years experience, Richards has also programmed in Detroit, Chicago and Tucson and began his career as APD/MD in Boston at MIX 98.5. He’s a Chicago native and got his degree in radio from Columbia College.

Richards said, "I'm thrilled to work with Tim Pohlman, Dave Shakes and our team in this new capacity," said Richards. "We will continue to grow our brands with great local content as the epicenter of our mission."

Richards joined KMLE in 2013 as Program Director and was promoted to Operations Manager of both KMLE and LIVE 101.5 in October, 2014. Prior to that, he was PD of KZZP 104.7 FM in Phoenix and Show Director for the Johnjay & Rich program.
