WW1 Promotes Jim Daunais, Tim Walker to EVPs, Regional Sales

Westwood One announced that it has promoted seasoned sales executives Jim Daunais and Tim Walker to Executive Vice-Presidents in its network Sales division.  Daunais becomes EVP, Southeast Region and Walker moves up to EVP, Southwest Region.   Daunais is based in Atlanta; Walker in Dallas.  Both men will report directly to Westwood One President Steve Shaw.

“We are on an accelerated path to building an exceptional and preeminent sales organization,” said Shaw.  “Hot off the heels of promoting Kim Bryant to lead West Coast Sales, Jim and Tim are uniquely qualified to lead our Southeast and Southwest regions.  Their respective abilities to manage, strategize, and effectively deliver client solutions will drive more revenue success across our platforms.”

Prior to the promotion, Daunais, served as SVP, Sales and VP, Southeast Sales for Westwood One. Before joining the company in 2004, he also served as an account executive for the New York Mets.  Said Daunais, “I’m excited for the opportunity to continue my 10+ year career at Westwood One, to work alongside Steve and the rest of our incredibly talented management team, and to build upon the company's rich history as the leader of all things audio.”

Walker is a 25+ year broadcast veteran.  He spent the last three years as Director of National Sales, Southwest Region, for Cumulus, and before that was National Sales Manager for Cumulus, Dallas/Houston.  Prior to joining Cumulus, Walker worked as the National Sales Manager for CBS Radio, Dallas.  This is his second tour with Westwood One.  He was an account executive in the Dallas office from 2000-2002.  He said “I’m excited to join the team at Westwood One.  I look forward to leading the Southwest Region and bringing integrated solutions to our clients and agencies.”
