K-C Radio: KRBZ AM Host Afentra Talks About Assault

A Kansas City radio personality says she was beaten and dragged by a man Saturday night, and that man was issued three city summonses for assault, according to KSHB-TV.

During her Monday morning show, Afentra with KRBZ 96.5 FM The Buzz told her audience she was minding her own business late Saturday night/Sunday morning when she witnessed a man hitting and dragging a woman. She said that, without thinking, she and her friend jumped out of their car to try and calm the situation. She says he wouldn’t calm down and the situation seemed be escalating.

At that time, Afentra describes taking photos of the man’s license plate, saying her phone became like a weapon for justice. That’s when Afentra says the man came after her, hit her, knocking her phone and keys from her hand. She then describes how the man dragged her by her hair with such strength, she couldn’t get away.

The suspect in the initial attack has been issued three city summonses of assault and possession of drug paraphernalia.
