Chicago Radio: Two WLS-FM Personalities Missing In Action

Jack Diamond
New WLS 94.7 FM morning host Dave Diamond is off-air because of health issues and so is evening host Dick Biondi.

Dick Biondi
Chicago Media writer Robert Feder reports, the 60-year-old Diamond, newly-installed in the morning slot is back in Washington DC, apparently awaiting surgery for diverticutis.  However, the plot thickens because Diamond is not in Chicago, he is no longer being mentioned in promos and he's scrubbed off the station's website.  Co-Host Brant Miller is hosting solo.

As for the iconic Biondi.  He has been off-air since December 13.  First, reportedly, the 82-year-old was recovering from the flu and then he apparently injured himself after a fall at home. His late night shift on the Cumulus Classic Hits station is being covered by Jeff Davis.
