Triton Digital has released its monthly Top 20 Ranker for
September 2013. The Ranker is a listing of the top-performing digital audio
stations and networks measured by the Webcast Metrics audience measurement
platform.
Pandora was at #1 of course for AAS (Average Active Sessions)
for Monday - Friday 6a-8p) in the Domestic Rankings, reaching just under 1.798
million in September, up from 1.765 million in August. Session starts for
Pandora were down slightly, from 911.95 million in August to 905.88 million.
Clear Channel was ranked second for the month with its AAS
number down from 330,316 in August to 313,281. Cumulus stayed in third place.
Average Active Sessions (AAS): Total Listening Hours (TLH)
divided by hours in the reported time period. TLH is defined as the total
number of hours that the station/publisher has streamed during sessions with a
duration of at least one minute in total within the reported time period.
Session Starts (SS): The number of different requests for
streams (i.e., stream requests) with a duration of at least one minute in total
within the reported time period.
