“WLS has always been home for me and the people there are
long-time friends who are the best in the business. I will also make occasional
special appearances in support of the best Classic Hits station in Chicagoland,”
Davis said on his Facebook page.
With Davis, WLS-FM adds another legendary Chicago voice to
its air staff.

Jan Jeffries, senior VP of Cumulus Media and PD of WLS-FM called
Davis “a great guy and a major talent...a work ethic second to none.”
Davis will continue to be based in Los Angeles, but would
make periodic trips to Chicago.
Davis started with WLS in 1974 as director of special
projects and four years later was added to the nighttime line-up on the 50,000
blowtorch. In 1986, Davis became
full-time production/imaging director for WLS and eventually moved to the west
coast, where his voice-over business has thrived
At WLS-FM, Davis joins an all-star lineup of veteran Chicago
personalities, including Dick Biondi, Fred Winston, John Records Landecker, Greg
Brown and Brant Miller.
