And The SB Sound Award Winner Is...

Westwood One has announced the winner of the Super Bowl Sound Awards, celebrating excellence in audio creativity. Fans voted for the most creative radio commercials during Super Bowl XLIX – and the votes are in!

The 2015 Champion of Sound is the brand Poo-Pourri, with a humorous spot about the Super Bowl.

The spot was custom made for the Big Game, and it represents a great example of a smaller brand using the power of audio to reach consumers through huge cultural moments such as the Super Bowl. The other brands rounding out the top 5 most votes of the Super Bowl Sound Awards: Motel 6 (with two commercials), Subway, and Exergen.

More than 40 advertisers participated in the Super Bowl Sound Awards, presented by Westwood One, the exclusive national radio partner of the NFL. The commercials were available on demand for a week before the game aired Sunday on the 700+ radio stations broadcasting Westwood One’s Super Bowl XLIX coverage, as well as SiriusXM Radio, NFL.com/Audiopass, NFL Mobile from Verizon, and on the American Forces Radio Network.

Many advertisers created custom audio for the Super Bowl Sound Awards, some tapping into Westwood One Studio, a full-service Creative Services division that created the Sound Awards experience. Westwood One Studio is powered in part by PDQ Productions and TM Studios, both of which produce audio content for advertisers and radio stations. In addition to custom audio, Westwood One Studio provides multi-platform marketing solutions including on-air, digital, and experiential components.

In its second year, the Super Bowl Sound Awards are an annual celebration of creative sound, showcasing the best radio commercials during one of the biggest cultural events of the year.
