A native of nearby Canyon, Texas, the move marks a homecoming for the veteran personality, who began his broadcasting career in the area at age 17.
Throughout his career, Garner has earned nine Billboard Broadcast Awards, three Academy of Country Music Awards, and multiple nominations for both Marconi and CMA Awards. He has conducted more than 4,000 interviews with country artists and hosted several nationally syndicated programs.
“We’re thrilled to have a personality of Blair’s caliber joining our staff at KGNC,” said Operations Manager Jeff Scott. “He grew up in the area, he’s a true pro, and a perfect fit for us.”
