TV Ratings: More Viewers Elect Fox News


FOX News Channel (FNC) dominated cable with viewers across primetime and total day during Election Week (November 3-9), according to Nielsen Big Data + Panel. 

➤In Monday - Sunday primetime FNC nabbed 2.2 million viewers and 220,000 in the 25-54 demo. ➤Across total day (6 AM-6 AM/ET), FNC posted 1.4 million viewers and 135,000 in the 25-54 demo. 

On Election Night (November 4), FNC averaged 2,924,000 viewers in primetime leading MSNBC (2,883,000 viewers) and CNN (1,914,000 viewers) according to Nielsen Big Data + Panel. 

FNC also defeated NBC in 23 of the top 25 markets in the country with viewers on Election Night including key markets such as New York, Chicago, Atlanta and Washington DC.


The Five averaged 3.6 million viewers and 300,000 in the 25-54 demo, leading cable news with total viewers. At 6 PM/ET, Special Report with Bret Baier drew 2.8 million viewers and 249,000 in the 25-54 demo. The Ingraham Angle saw 2.5 million viewers and 247,000 in the 25-54 demo at 7 PM/ET. Jesse Watters Primetime commanded 3.1 million viewers and 296,000 in the 25-54 demo at 8 PM/ET. 

On November 5, Jesse Watters Primetime’s exclusive interview with Erika Kirk commanded 3.1 million viewers and 295,000 in the 25-54 demo securing 59% of the cable news share during the hour. 

At 9 PM/ET, Hannity posted 2.6 million viewers and 311,000 with A25-54, leading cable news in the demo. At 11 PM/ET, FOX News @ Night secured 1.3 million viewers.

FNC’s late-night hit Gutfeld! (weekdays, 10 PM/ET) averaged 2.6 million viewers and 303,000 in the 25-54 demo continuing to outpace the broadcast competition including CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (2.1 million viewers) and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! (1.8 million viewers) and NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (984,000 viewers). 


FNC continued to see its daytime programs outpace the broadcast competition. The Will Cain Show (weekdays, 4 PM/ET; 2,002,000 viewers), America’s Newsroom (weekdays, 9-11 AM/ET; 1,841,000 viewers), Outnumbered (weekdays, 12 PM/ET; 1,774,000 viewers), The Faulkner Focus (weekdays, 11 AM/ET; 1,726,000 viewers), The Story (weekdays, 3 PM/ET; 1,715,000 viewers) and America Reports (weekdays, 1-3 PM/ET; 1,686,000 viewers) all led NBC’s Today with Jenna and Friends (1,374,000 viewers) and NBC News Daily (1,330,000 viewers).

On Saturday: Kayleigh McEnany’s Saturday in America (Saturday, 10 AM - 12 PM/ET) was the most-watched cable news show of the day with 1.4 million viewers. FOX & Friends Weekend (weekends, 6-10 AM/ET) followed with 1.2 million viewers. In primetime, My View with Lara Trump (Saturday, 9 PM/ET) and Life, Liberty & Levin (weekends, 8 PM/ET) both posted nearly 1 million viewers.

On Sunday: Maria Bartiromo’s Sunday Morning Futures (Sunday, 10 AM/ET) was the number one cable news show of the weekend with 1.5 million viewers. In primetime, Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy (Sunday, 9 PM/ET) led the way with 1.3 million viewers. The Sunday Briefing (Sunday, 11 AM/ET) hosted by Jacqui Heinrich followed with 1.1 million viewers.

NBC News’ TODAY was the number-one morning show outright last week, topping ABC’s “Good Morning America” in total viewers and the key demos for the second consecutive week. TODAY has now won six of the last ten weeks in total viewers and remains the #1 morning show among A25-54 and A18-49 audiences.

The win marks TODAY’s best advantage over GMA in nine weeks and its largest A25-54 demo lead in 43 weeks, since January 6, 2025 — Hoda Kotb’s final week as co-anchor. The program also continued its impressive streak at #1 in the key demo for 101 consecutive weeks.

Season to date, TODAY ranks as the top-rated morning show among both A25-54 and A18-49 viewers, with its smallest total viewer gap versus GMA in 14 years and double-digit growth over CBS across all key metrics.

TODAY HIGHLIGHTS:
  • TODAY averaged 2.813 million total viewers, beating GMA by +93,000 (+3%) and leading CBS by +877,000 (+45%)This marks TODAY’s second straight week at #1 in total viewers, and its sixth win in the last ten weeks.
