Country Music Hall of Fame member Ray Stevens, aged 85, is recovering after suffering a mild heart attack on July 4, 2025.
After experiencing chest pain, he was admitted to a Nashville-area hospital, where a heart catheterization confirmed the heart attack.
On Monday, Stevens underwent successful minimally invasive heart surgery to address the underlying conditions. He is expected to make a full recovery with rest and rehabilitation.
To prioritize his health, all performances at his West Nashville CabaRay Showroom have been canceled through July. These shows were scheduled to promote his recent comedy album, Say Whut?, released in March 2025, featuring songs like “Everybody’s On The Telephone” and “The More You Cry.”
Stevens, a two-time Grammy winner known for hits like “Everything Is Beautiful” and “The Streak,” has a storied career spanning over six decades as a singer, songwriter, and entertainer. Fans can send well wishes to his CabaRay Showroom address.
