Sid Rosenberg, host of Sid & Friends In the Morning on WABC Radio, is making his second trip to Israel since the HAMAS attack on October 7, 2023, for a series of live broadcasts, Monday, October 7 through Thursday, October 10, 2024, including from near the Gaza border.
Rosenberg, who is active in the New York Jewish community and has streaming listeners in Israel, made his first trip in January, just a few months after the attack.
“I was so moved by the brutal HAMAS attack on Israel, I just had to go,” explained Rosenberg. “I went to John Catsimatidis and Chad Lopez and said, ‘I have to be there... we have to be there,’ and they said yes! I am so grateful for their support for this monumental trip and broadcasts to honor and remember those who lost their lives and those who are being held hostage.”

Actor and comedian Michael Rappaport will be in Israel that same week and will join Rosenberg on the air on October 8 and 9.
Rosenberg made his first live broadcasts from Israel in January of this year to honor the thousands of innocent Israelis who were slaughtered in the HAMAS attacks and those being held hostage. On that first trip, Rosenberg traveled to the site of the Nova Music Festival and the kibbutzim near the Gaza border, where the attacks took place.
Upon his return to the U.S., Rosenberg interviewed Natalie Sanandaji, a young woman survivor of the Nova Music Festival, who shared her harrowing story with WABC Radio listeners; Siggy Flicker, an Israeli American podcaster, television personality, and writer; and Rachel Goldberg, whose son Hersch was being held hostage by Hamas at the time. Since then, HAMAS has executed the young man with a bullet to the back of his head.
