Cumulus Media’s Westwood One has announced that Steve Harmon will assume the host seat for “Country Gold,” the four-hour syndicated weekend show centered around the biggest country hits of the 90s, beginning the weekend of September 7-8, 2024.
Harmon will replace long-time host Terri Clark, who will leave Westwood One after the August 31-September 1 show.
He brings years of experience in radio and country music to his new role, having enjoyed many successful years at KPLX-Dallas, KNIX-Phoenix, and WXTU-Philadelphia. He also co-hosted the nationally syndicated "Harmon and Evans Weekly Country Top 30," the "Troy Aikman Show," and the "Gary Patterson Show."
There are few, if any, Country stars since the 1980s that Harmon hasn’t interviewed.
Harmon is a CMA Major Market Award Winner and a CMA Lifetime Member; he has been inducted into both the Country Radio Hall of Fame - Nashville and the Texas Radio Hall of Fame. In addition, Harmon is a three-time Billboard Major Market Country Award Winner, and an American Women in TV and Radio Award (Gracie) Winner for National Country Radio Personality.
