Gucci Mane

Cumulus Media
announces the launch of the eighth installment of its exclusive multi-part audio series, Your Music First, featuring Gucci Mane and his new single, “There I Go,” featuring J Cole and Mike WiLL Made-It.

The new Your Music First campaign will air over the next four weeks on Cumulus Media’s Urban and Rhythmic CHR stations nationwide and will include Gucci Mane’s personal and revealing insights into how the single was made, with exclusive behind-the-scenes stories that add an indelible extra dimension to the new music.

Greg Frey, VP of Music Partnerships, Cumulus Media, said: “Cumulus is thrilled to once again partner with Atlantic Records to bring the first Your Music First campaign to our Urban and Rhythmic CHR stations with Gucci Mane’s highly anticipated new song, “There I Go,” featuring J Cole and Mike WiLL Made-It. As one of the most prolific and consistent rappers out there, Gucci continues to deliver great music. Pairing “There I Go” with exclusive audio of Gucci himself talking about his music and life in 2023 makes this an essential Your Music First campaign.”

Kevin Holiday, EVP of Urban Promotions, Atlantic Records, commented: “We are thrilled to have this incredible spotlight on the new Gucci Mane featuring J Cole record, "There I Go", on Cumulus' Your Music First program. This highly anticipated collaboration perfectly encapsulates the sound of two Hip-Hop icons and provides that much needed "Breath of Fresh Air"... which is no surprise why this is the title of his upcoming album! I hope you all enjoy and many thanks to Cumulus for choosing Gucci Mane to be the first artist launching their Your Music First program on their Urban stations.”

Cumulus Media debuted the high-profile Your Music First campaign in February to highlight new music in a unique way by sharing with radio listeners the thoughts of the biggest stars in different formats in a series of revealing and exclusive vignettes across AC, Alternative, CHR, Country, Hot AC, Rock and Urban formats. The shows feature artist commentary on the song, with artists presenting different aspects of their song’s personal meaning, the inspiration behind the music, and insights on their life and career.

Previous Your Music First campaigns have featured Valory Music Co. recording artist Thomas Rhett’s “Angels (Don’t Always Have Wings),” Republic Records recording artist Shania Twain’s “Giddy Up!,” Capitol Records Nashville recording artist Darius Rucker’s “Fires Don’t Start Themselves,” Thirty Seconds To Mars’ “Stuck,” Atlantic Records recording artist Janelle Monáe’s “Lipstick Lover,” Broken Bow Records recording artist Lainey Wilson’s “Watermelon Moonshine,” and Warner Music Nashville recording artists Dan + Shay’s “Save Me The Trouble.”
