Pittsburgh Radio: Rose Ryan-Douglas, KDKA Anchor To Retire

After nearly a half-century in local broadcasting, KDKA 1020 AM afternoon news anchor Rose Ryan-Douglas will retire at the end of February.

Ryan-Douglas has been at the station since 2002, and also has worked for WFFM, 96 KX and WWSW 94.5 FM 3WS, where she worked for two decades.

"Rose has been been the ultimate news professional, not only will we miss her on the air but her calming influence in the newsroom is irreplaceable," Michael Spacciapolli, senior vice president and market manger for station owner Entercom Pittsburgh, said in a statement on KDKA's website.

"On behalf of all of us at KDKA Radio and our listeners we thank her for the tremendous work she has done over the years."
