West Palm Beach Radio: Hubbard To Acquire Alpha Cluster

Hubbard Radio has agreed to acquire six radio outlets from Alpha Media in West Palm Beach.

Included in the $88M deal are:

• Hot AC WRMF 97.9
• Country WIRK 103.1 
• Sports Talk WMEN 640 AM 
• News Talk WFTL 850 AM 
• AC WEAT 107.9
• Urban WMBX-FM

The Seller, Alpha Media, is an Oregon-based company headed by Bob Proffitt. Alpha Media also owns 213 stations in 46 markets.

Hubbard Radio, LLC, is a Minnesota-based company headed by Virginia Morris. Hubbard Radio also owns 48 stations in 8 states. "This is an exciting opportunity for Hubbard Radio," said Hubbard Radio CEO Ginny Morris. "West Palm Beach is a terrific market and the Alpha Media radio stations set the standard for excellence in south Florida.
