R.I.P.: Former Syracuse Radio PD Bill Quinn

Former longtime Syracuse NY program director William J. Quinn died November 9 at his home in Liverpool.

He was 83-years-of-age.

Quinn was an on-air personality in the 1950's he was a program manager and did local record hops at the Armory and Three Rivers Inn where he was known as "Wild Bill Quinn".

He worked with WFBL, WNDR in Syracuse and WTLB in Utica, NY, as an on-air program manager in the 1960's.

Quinn was a producer with WPRO in Providence R.I. in the 60's, WBAL Baltimore and Maryland Public Radio in the 1970's and 80's. He was managing director of WINX in Washington D.C. in the 1980's.
