NYC Radio: WPLJ Hosts The Band Perry, Clean Bandit

The Band Perry
WPLJ 95.5 FM in New York continues the momentum and excitement that Cumulus Media-New York's new live performance space is generating for music lovers.

The live performance space, tagged "Stage 17 LIVE", is high atop Madison Square Garden on the 17th Floor of 2 Penn Plaza. On March 1, Luke Bryan made an inaugural appearance at the new performance space while visiting sister station NASH FM 94.7 and the performances have now moved into high gear! On Tuesday, March 7, The Band Perry performed in the space for 95.5 PLJ listeners, as did Clean Bandit and Anne Marie. 95.5 loyal listeners were treated to tacos for Taco Tuesday, while enjoying great performances by these exciting artists in a true VIP, experiential setting.

Chad Lopez, Vice President/Market Manager, Cumulus Media-New York said: “The momentum is building with interest from various artists for the new Cumulus New York performance space. 95.5 PLJ welcomed two great bands to the 17th floor on the same day during our soft launch of the new studio. This is the first of many VIP experiential opportunities that we will have to offer to our advertisers and listeners and we couldn’t be more excited."

Gillette, 95.5 PLJ Program Director, said: "The Band Perry's new song may be titled “Stay in the Dark”, but they totally lit up Stage 17 LIVE for the very first full-band performance in our new “house”! Now the Perry family is forever immortalized  as part of the 95.5 P(erry)LJ family!"

Gillette added: "Clean Bandit, literally passing The Band Perry in the freight elevator as the second act of an intense soft launch day, was the perfect group to illustrate the diverse breadth, range and flexibility of experiences we can create at Stage 17 LIVE. Their performances were amazing, and the room handled them with aplomb."
