Pregnant TV Meteorologist Criticized For Clothing

A pregnant Canadian TV meteorologist has spoken out about the criticism she's gotten from viewers who think her clothes are too formfitting and that she should wear looser outfits that don't show her growing belly as much.

Kristi Gordon, who works for Global News, got similar criticism during her first pregnancy, and so when she announced her second, she asked viewers not to comment on her attire.

While at first everything was fine, the negative comments slowly began, saying Gordon didn't look professional, and as her pregnant belly got larger, the criticism increased and got nastier.

She was called a "hussy," asked why she didn't have more respect for her unborn child, and a few people even joined together using the name The Group and told her she was gross, had an enormous butt, and that she should, quote, "cover up or take time off."

Gordon wrote about what was happening for Global News, saying that some of the comments did get to her even though she was determined not to let them. But she actually thanked The Group for a reminder, explaining, "Even a little joking comment could do some damage. Hopefully this can help us all be more aware of our impact on others." Gordon also said she won't be changing what she wears, and won't be taking time off from the job she loves.
