Sioux Falls Radio: Midwest To Flip Freqs

Two Sioux Falls radio stations are swapping places on the dial.

According to the Argus Leader, Starting Oct. 28, country station KTWB-FM will broadcast on 92.5 as Big Country 92.5. Lite 92.5 KELO-FM will drop the “Lite” in its name and move to 101.9. Programming will remain the same on both stations.

“Listener input showed us that this move would be the best use of our resources,” station operations manager Tom Gjerdrum said.

Big Country 92.5 will reach listeners in South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska, appealing to country music fans in both rural and urban areas.

The new 101.9 KELO-FM will continue to serve the Sioux Falls area as it has since it signed on the air in 1965.

Both stations are owned by Midwest Communications Inc.
