NYC Radio: Sliwa Interrupts Show To Break-Up Fight

Curtis Sliwa
Red beret-wearing Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa broke up a street fight between two tour guides while live on-air, according to TheNY Post.

His “Curtis Sliwa Show” on WNYM 970 AM The Answer broadcasts from the window of the Hotel Pennsylvania with a view of Seventh Avenue between 33rd and 34th Streets.

According to his producer, Frank Morano, “A vicious fight broke out outside between tour guides trying to sell tickets for competing bus companies ... Seeing no one else was poised to intervene, Curtis left our broadcast booth right before a live read ... He pulled them apart and returned to talk with our guests, political analyst Steve Adubato and former Gov. David Paterson.
