Houston Radio: Activists Want To Meet With KCOH Owner

Jesse Dunn
A rally was held Friday after longtime KCOH 1230 AM radio personality Michael Harris removed himself from the airwaves and accused his boss of financial fraud, according to KHOU11 News.

KCOH has been the voice of Houston’s black community for over 50 years.

According to Harris, he took the action after thousands of dollars in loans that he secured for station expenses were misused by KCOH owner Jesse Dunn. (See original posting, Click Here)

“He cheated. He connived. He stole,” Harris said.

Harris claims Dunn took a debit card addressed to Harris and spent money on gambling and other personal expenses.

Dunn admits going gambling but claims that the money belongs to him because he owns the company.

Harris filed a criminal complaint with HPD, and police sources say officers with the financial crimes unit are investigating.

Several activists came out to Friday’s rally to warn against any action that could jeopardize KCOH.
