ESPN later released a statement: "John left the booth feeling dizzy and was diagnosed as being dehydrated. His vital signs are stable and he's in good spirits. We wish him a speedy recovery."
Kruk was scheduled to call the game with Dan Shulman and Curt Schilling. Kruk has worked for ESPN since 2004 and joined the "Sunday Night Baseball" crew last season.
Kruk played in the Major Leagues for 10 seasons from 1986-95 with the Phillies, Padres and White Sox. The three-time All-Star hit .300 for his career and recorded 100 homers and 592 RBIs.
