Trump Calls Charlamagne Tha God ‘Racist Sleazebag’ and ‘Low IQ’

President Trump lashed out at radio host and author Charlamagne Tha God on Truth Social early Sunday, after Charlamagne claimed the administration’s handling of Jeffrey Epstein’s case was sparking a “coup” within the Republican Party.

On Saturday, during an appearance on Lara Trump’s Fox News show, Charlamagne, born Lenard McKelvey and co-host of “The Breakfast Club,” said, “I think traditional conservatives are poised to reclaim the Republican Party. There’s a political coup happening right now that’s going unnoticed.”

Lara Trump, the president’s daughter-in-law and former RNC co-chair, expressed skepticism.

Trump, who had a nearly 15-year friendship with Epstein, the disgraced financier and convicted sex offender who died in a Manhattan jail in 2019 while awaiting trial, dismissed Charlamagne’s remarks, posting, “Charlamagne knows nothing about me or my accomplishments.”

The Trump administration has faced criticism for withholding federal files on Epstein’s case, despite earlier promises from the president and top officials to reveal hidden details about his death. This reversal has angered many of Trump’s staunch supporters.

Charlamagne suggested that the Epstein controversy could allow “traditional conservatives” to regain control of the party without alienating Trump’s MAGA base.

“I think they’ll succeed,” he said, while acknowledging Trump as a “once-in-a-lifetime political juggernaut.” He also noted the opportunity for a “huge reset” in the party.
