He'll oversee the company's cross-platform presence, both broadcast and digital, including N/T WHAS 840 AM, Country WAMZ 97.5 FM, Classic Rock WQMF 95.7 FM, Rock WTFX 93.1 FM, Top40 WNRW 98.9 FM, HotAC WLGX 100.5 FM, Sports WKRD 790AM.
The 30-year media veteran has been with iHM for over a decade, most recently as Senior VP/Urban Operations, where he provided oversight for 64 radio stations in 40 markets.
Jones previously was Regional VP for iHM's stations in Chicago, Milwaukee, Madison and Eau Claire WI in 2005 and became Market President of iHeartMedia Chicago in 2006. He also previously served as Market President for iHM Louisville and Regional VP for the company's stations in Frankfort, Indianapolis, Lexington, Louisville and Somerset in 2003.
"Earl is a proven leader and a coach, he leads by example and works tirelessly in the community," said President of Operations/Regional Markets Matt Martin. "We're thrilled that he will once again be leading our extremely talented Louisville team."
