Casey, with daughter Kerri |
The broadcasting legend left behind matching $2million policies when he died in June of 2014, one for his wife and the other for a trust in his children's names, according to The Daily Mail.
Jean and the kids accused each other of contributing to Casey's death and his insurer, MetLife, was delaying payment until a judge ruled about who should get the money in light of those allegations.
The judge decided 'the trustee is the sole and rightful beneficiary' and ruled in favor of the children.
In May, Los Angeles prosecutors said they wouldn't file elder abuse charges against Jean despite efforts by the three children who were Casey's from his first marriage to have her prosecuted.
Jean was married to the celebrity announcer for more than 30 years but was stripped of control over his medical care in the final days of his life.
Casey died in June 2014 in Washington state and had a form of dementia and a severe bedsore when he passed away.
