Fans of FM radio station 101.5 WPDH Poughkeepsie, NY were told early Monday
that Mark Cooper, who co-hosts the “Wakin’ Up With Coop and Kricket” morning
show, suffered a “medical issue” over the weekend and will not be back for some
time, according to a story by Paula Ann Mitchel at dailyfreeman.com.
Andrew Boris, the station’s program director and afternoon
host, would not provide further details.
“He’s been making some great progress, but he still has a
way to go,” Boris said. “We do not have a date when he will be returning.”
The raspy-voiced Cooper has been employed on and off at
WPDH, a classic rock station owned by Cumulus Broadcasting, for 15 years, Boris
said.
