Clear Channel Media and Entertainment has named Josh Everett
as program director for Albany, New York radio stations WGY 810 AM/103.1 FM and
WOFX, 980 AM.
Everett, who begins his new position Sept. 10, also will
oversee the News Hub, which provides news for ten Clear Channel markets in the
Northeast., according to a story by Barbara Pinckney at bizjournals.com.
WGY, which has a news/talk format, is one of the top rated
radio stations in the Albany market, consistently ranking in the top five among
all listeners aged 12 and over. WOFX, a sports station, has a smaller, mostly
male, audience.
Everett comes to Albany from Clear Channel’s news/talk WLAP in Lexington, Kentucky. He succeeds Paul Ihander, who held the position
for about a year and in July relocated to a station in Glendale, Arizona.
