Starting on Monday, ESPN will be commemorating the Rolling
Stones' 50th Anniversary on Monday nights throughout the NFL season this fall
with "Legend to Legend" -- a collaboration that will combine Monday
Night Football highlights with the band's classic tracks. ESPN has licensed 16
Stones songs, spanning the band's 1972's Exile On Main Street album through
2005's A Bigger Bang. The songs will be a mix of popular hits and deep cuts,
including 1974's "It's Only Rock 'N Roll," 1976's "Hot
Stuff," and 1986's "One Hit (To The Body)."
Four different songs will be selected per month and will be
used for four weeks at a time on ESPN's Monday Night Countdown pregame show, on
bumpers and teases within the Monday Night Football game, and in a post-Monday
Night Football game highlight segment on SportsCenter.
