Radio Dominates 13+ Audio Time


Since 2014, Edison Research’s Share of Ear® survey has tracked the distribution of daily audio listening time across various sources. 

The Q2 2025 results, illustrated in the Share of Ear Audio Dial™, reveal that AM/FM radio remains the largest single source, capturing just over one-third of daily audio listening time among Americans aged 13 and older, whether consumed over-the-air or via streaming. 


However, internet-delivered audio formats—encompassing music streaming, podcasts, YouTube for music and music videos, radio station streams, and SiriusXM streams—collectively account for more than 50% of total listening time.
