Forcht Broadcasting Radio and Digital has announced the appointment of Neil Middleton as its new President and CEO, marking a significant leadership transition for the company.
Based in Somerset, Kentucky, Forcht Broadcasting operates 25 small-market radio stations across nine markets in Kentucky, Indiana, and Illinois, emphasizing local service and community engagement. Middleton succeeds Mike Tarter, who had served as President/CEO and was recognized by Radio Ink magazine in April of the previous year as one of the radio industry's top leaders, bringing over 40 years of experience to the role.

For the last 12 of those years, he served as Vice-President and General Manager of WYMT-TV, honing his skills in management and news. Middleton’s appointment aligns with Forcht Broadcasting’s mission, as he emphasized in his statement: “The foundation of Forcht Broadcasting and Digital is built upon the importance of service to the local communities we serve. It’s a vision I share on local radio being a beacon for local communities, and the importance of hometown ownership for media companies like Forcht Broadcasting.”
He expressed enthusiasm about building on the company’s significance to its listeners and local businesses.
