Cumulus Media Promotes Todd Cavanah As VP For Classic Hits


Cumulus Media announces that it has appointed Todd Cavanah as Vice President of Classic Hits for the company. Cavanah will provide content counsel for Cumulus Media’s 24 Classic Hits-formatted radio brands across the U.S. In the newly created position, Cavanah will report to Brian Philips, Chief Content Officer, Cumulus Media. He will continue to be based in Chicago, IL, where he serves as Program Director for Classic Hits powerhouse 94.7 WLS-FM, Cumulus Media’s biggest Classic Hits station.

Cavanah joined Cumulus Media and WLS-FM last October, after 33 years at Audacy CHR WBBM-FM ( B96) Chicago, where he was named Program Director in 1993. He also served as VP/Programming for CBS Radio Chicago and Audacy Chicago and programmed Country station, WUSN (US 99), Classic Hits station, WJMK (104.3 K-Hits), and Classic Hip Hop station, WBMX (104.3 Jams). Prior to Chicago, Cavanah held positions at KRXY-FM in Denver, CO, and at Elektra Records.
