Audacy Stations Raises $3M+ for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Seven Audacy stations teamed up to support the lifesaving mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital: Finding cures. Saving children.® Collectively, through a unified Country Cares for St. Jude Kids Radiothon series, the stations raised over $3 million for the hospital.

The radiothon underscores Audacy’s ongoing relationship with St. Jude and the company’s long-standing commitment to children’s health and giving children a stronger voice for a better life. With this year’s total, Audacy and its stations have now contributed over $100 million to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital since 1988.

Between December 7 and 15, U.S. 101 (WUSY-FM) in Chattanooga, US99 (WUSN-FM) in Chicago, 99.5 WYCD (WYCD-FM) in Detroit, KMLE Country 107.9 (KMLE-FM) in Phoenix, Y108 (WDSY-FM) in Pittsburgh, 103.7 KSON (KSON-FM) in San Diego and Froggy 101 (WGGY-FM) in Wilkes-Barre held on-air radiothons, asking listeners to become Partners in Hope and contribute monthly donations. The money raised will help ensure St. Jude patients and their families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, housing, travel or food. This allows them to focus their full energy and attention on recovery.

“The efforts of our Audacy Country team members and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital amazes me,” said Tim Roberts, Country Format Vice President, Audacy. “I’m grateful that our listeners continue to pour their hearts into assisting St. Jude with eradicating pediatric cancer and for their continued belief in radio's role in our communities.”

Country Cares for St. Jude Kids Radiothon is a part of Audacy’s commitment to making a meaningful difference at scale. Audacy raises awareness for social issues by building sound communities and uniting them for good.
