Seattle Radio: Walter Flakus To Join Alternative KNDD-FM


Entercom has announced Walter Flakus has been named Assistant Program Director and afternoon drive host for KNDD 107.7 FM, Seattle’s only alternative station and the place for new music discovery. Flakus will be on air weekdays from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. PT, effective August 6.

“We’re thrilled to welcome such a talented programmer to the 107.7 The End team,” said Jack Hutchison, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Entercom Seattle. “Walter brings extensive experience and leadership both on and off the air which will benefit listeners and partners.”

“I’m so excited to be a part of the history of such a legendary station like 107.7 The End. It’s been on my to-do list for many years,” said Flakus. “I’d like to extend many thanks to Leslie Scott [Program Director, 107.7 The End] and Dave Richards [Senior Vice President, Programming and Operations, Entercom Seattle] for making this happen. I guess now it’s time to invest in a rain jacket.”

Prior to joining Entercom, Flakus held various roles at WKQX-FM in Chicago including Assistant Program Director, Music Director and on-air personality. He also served as Music Director for WLUP-FM in Chicago, Sirius XM Satellite Radio and WGY-FM (then WHRL-FM) in Albany, NY.

Listeners can tune in 107.7 The End (KNDD-FM) in Seattle on air, as well as nationwide on the RADIO.COM app and website. Fans can also connect with the station on social media via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
